Researchers from the Institute of Geotechnical Engineering (GEOT) at BOKU University attended the 17th International Conference of the International Association for Computer Methods and Advances in Geomechanics (IACMAG 2025), held at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), Hong Kong, China, from December 18 to 21, 2025. The GEOT delegation included Prof. Wei Wu, Dr. Yunteng Wang, Dr. Xuan Kang, and M. Sc. Ruimin Chen.

IACMAG is a leading international forum in computational geomechanics, bringing together researchers and practitioners to exchange advances in numerical methods and their applications across geotechnical and geoengineering problems. According to the official conference announcement, the conference covered a broad range of themes, including soil and rock mechanics, soil–structure interaction, and flow in porous media, among other topics relevant to civil, energy, and environmental engineering.
